Sun Microsystems introduced the Java technology in the autumn 1995, and it has since evolved a lot. This technology was deigned to enable the World Wide Web to reach the full potential of a true global client-server system. Java gives the Web page author power to include programs for all kinds of purposes, like scientific vizualization, complex graphics, and so on, that will be automatically downloaded and executed by the end-user's browser.
